FAQ

What makes Town & Country coffee special?

Our coffee is sourced from the highest-quality beans and roasted in small batches to ensure maximum freshness and flavor. We focus on ethical sourcing and sustainable practices, bringing you a superior coffee experience.

Where is Town & Country located?

Our roastery is located in San Antonio, Texas, where we carefully roast our beans to perfection.

What is specialty coffee?

Specialty coffee refers to coffee that is scored 80 points or above on a 100-point scale by a certified coffee taster (SCAA). It represents the highest quality of coffee, distinguished by unique flavors and superior production methods.

How do you ensure the quality of your coffee beans?

We partner with trusted coffee farmers and cooperatives who practice sustainable farming. Each batch of beans is carefully selected, roasted, and tested by our expert roasters to ensure it meets our high standards.

What is the best way to brew Town & Country coffee at home?

We recommend using a method that highlights the flavor profile of our coffee, such as pour-over, Chemex, or AeroPress. You can find detailed brewing guides on our Brewing Guide page.

How should I store my coffee beans to maintain freshness?

To keep your coffee beans fresh, store them in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Avoid storing them in the refrigerator, as this can introduce moisture and affect the flavor.

What is the difference between Washed & Natural process coffee?

The primary difference between washed and natural process coffee lies in how the coffee cherries are treated after harvesting.

Washed Process:

  • Method: Coffee cherries are pulped to remove the outer skin, fermented in water to break down the mucilage, washed to remove any remaining mucilage, and then dried.
  • Flavor Profile: Produces a cleaner, brighter, and more acidic flavor, showcasing the bean's natural characteristics.

Natural Process:

  • Method: Coffee cherries are dried with the fruit still intact around the bean, then hulled to remove the dried fruit and parchment.
  • Flavor Profile: Results in a fuller body with more complex, fruity, and wine-like flavors due to the extended contact with the fruit.
